Meet everyone's favorite shelter queen - Ellie! She is a 2-year-old Retriever who has been waiting for a forever home for an entire year. Ellie was transferred from another local shelter after being found as a stray, and everyone at the SAHS is really rooting for her to finally find her family in 2024. Ellie is a very sweet and energetic girl! She does know "Sit" and she loves to catch treats in the air! She would love to go to a loving home with a family without other pets or with kids who are under 12. Ellie has such a lovable personality that will really draw the perfect family to her - she is sweet, curious, loyal, loves to play, and we know she'll be the best cuddle buddy outside of the shelter. We are so proud to say that this resilient girl has beat heartworm disease since being in our care and is now free of all restrictions and can play to her heart's content in her forever home. She has been waiting so patiently for the perfect family to come to adopt her and take her on many adventures! Come meet Ellie today and see why she would be the most amazing BFF!
