Landscape Associate Designer About the company A high-end Metro Detroit landscape design / build firm About the position Under the supervision of the head of design and sales, the associate designer will meet with clients, take site measurements, prepare preliminary and full landscape plans, create detailed estimates, write up contracts, prepare site specifications, and manage their projects through completion. This position requires a high degree of customer service relations and is key in exceeding client expectations from initial contact through completion of projects. Requirements Have or be currently working towards Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related Degree Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain long term customer relationships Have excellent working knowledge of design, landscape plants, hardscape materials, and installation processes. Some field experience preferred Sufficient experience using Cad / Dynascape (or similar), MS Office, and Adobe Suite Ability to work unsupervised and with a team Capable of managing projects and delegating responsibilities to members of the crew Able to complete projects on schedule in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent time management ability Must have knowledge of Michigan plant species and hardscape elements Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or similar degree, or working towards such a degree, or equivalent experience Compensation & Benefits Salary to commensurate with experience and knowledge Health, dental, and vision insurance (Cigna). PPO & high-deductible plans available.
