Little Gomez came to us as a one pound kitten that had a condition known as Pectus Excavatum - the shelter contacted us because most of the time they are euthanized but thankfully they reached out to us as we knew we could fix this little guy. Because he only weighed a pound - we had to wait to surgically correct his condition but honestly you would have never known there was anything wrong with him - he was your typical happy and playful kitten. Once he was a little older and hit the 3 pound mark he was able to have the procedure to correct his condition at a specialist. He came through it great and has been medically cleared and should have no further issues and he is your normal - happy go lucky kitten that just wants to play and sometimes try and steal some human food. He is still on the small side but he is a totally amazing little guy that is hoping to find a family to call his own. He is fostered with 2 other cats and would love to have a companion to play with. He has not been around dogs but with proper introductions, he would adjust and be fine as long as the dog has been around cats before. Gomez has been combo tested (negative) - he is current on vaccines, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.00. We do require vet references and a home visit and all of our cats must be indoor cats only. Gomez is going to be a great addition to some very lucky family.Adoption processOur fees are:$250.00 (for All Ages)*Unless otherwise noted All of our rescues will be spay/neutered prior to adoption, unless they are under 6 months of age or recommended by our vet. All dogs will be micro chipped prior to adoption and come with a care package at the time of adoption Our application process is as follows:First an application should be filled out at our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org on the Foster/Adoption Application page. A vet reference check is done to verify all the animals currently in the home are UTD on vaccines as well as Heart Worm Preventatives. A phone interview will be conducted, and the final step is a home check.Shelter locationAll of our rescues are fostered in separate homes, as we do not have a facility yet.
