Hiawatha was returned from adoption because her adopter has a terminal illness which prevents her from caring for her any longer. Hiawatha had another cat, plus a sweet service dog, as company in her adoptive home, so she is very comfortable with other cats and a sweet, cat-friendly dog. Hiawatha is super sweet and laid back and will occasionally sit in a lap. What's not to love? Hiawatha’s date of birth is 5/25/22.Adoption processWe require a contract that specifies that the cat be an indoor only pet and that the adopters take specific care with food, shelter and medical. We require that the adopters agree to return the cat to our care should they not be able to care for the animal any longer. We also offer a 30 day money back guarantee that the cat may be returned to our care if there is a failure to bond or other issues. We charge a $125.00 adoption fee for kittens, and $100 adoption fee for adult cats 1-6 years old. We lower the fee to $55.00 for elderly cats.Shelter locationWe are a foster based rescue. We show cats and kittens in the adoption center in the PetSmart in Hickory, NC.
