My name is Hanna, and I am ready to be the friendly feline you are looking for! "Hi, my name is Hanna. I was brought to Friends for Life after my family of almost 8 years could no longer care for me. At first, I was really scared here at the shelter, my whole world had been turned upside down. As time went on, I started to relax and realize that new friends are good friends. Now that it's a breeze meeting new people, I am ready to make the best impression on my new family! I’m a cute calico, missing the comforts of home! I am a VERY chatty girl. I love to talk to you and ask you how your day was or how your zoom meeting is going! I always know when you are on your phone because I will go out of my way to be sure I am included in the conversation! I love making new friends and have a full proof routine where we can have an instant connection! I don't care much for other cats so to be the only feline in your life would be fine by me! I’m Hanna, hopeful that I’ll be homebound soon. Can I sleepover with you tonight?Adoption processWe have a $95 adoption fee for cats and dogs that covers shots, testing, health checks and age-appropriate spay or neuter. All cats and dogs are micro chipped; dogs are on heartworm preventative. Our adopters must be 21, have ID and must undergo an interview, fill out an application and sign contracts related to commitments for the care of the animals. We will check veterinary references and landlord information. No animals may be adopted as gifts and and all members of the caretaking family must be in agreement about the adoption. Our shelter looks more like a gallery than a shelter! Incredible photography is displayed in our lobby. Care has been taken with every detail of the building. We are bringing in 100% outside fresh air and turning over the air in each space completely 15 times an hour. We have made certain that sunlight reaches every animal (and staff) workspace and even engaged a professional acoustician from the beginning to ensure that we manage the sound for everyone's comfort. We have cageless cat rooms with 19-foot ceilings and climbers everywhere to keep the kitties happy and healthy. We have a 'real life' dog living area set up for the dogs. Our shelter is unlike any you've ever experienced! You have to see it to believe it! We need adoption counselors, docents and animal "smoochers" to keep everyone feeling loved. We also need, welcome and swoon over our foster parents! Our volunteers and foster parents are like gold to us. Please consider joining this energetic and positive group!
