This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office. Job Summary As a member of the Revenue team, you will assist in the processing of revenue-related activities such as invoicing and customer orders, as well as reconciling revenue-related balance sheet accounts and revenue accounts. This person will work cross functionally with Global Order Management and Renewals, as well as other related areas as needed. The Staff Revenue Accountant position will primarily provide support to the Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department. This position requires solid skills in financial accounting, reporting, audit, and compliance and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced technology environment. Duties and Responsibilities Review of customer orders and related documents to determine the correct documentation is collected and processed by the order management team and the renewals team. Process a high volume of customer invoices out of the Salesforce Billing system, which includes identifying and addressing any potential issues that may arise. Perform month-end closing activities including journals and account reconciliations that relate to revenue, unbilled A/R, deferred revenue, and deferred cost. Interact with sales, accounting, renewals, and order management to ensure identification and documentation of all invoicing related matters. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year end close information and respond to all audit requests related to orders and invoicing. Aid and assist in the integration of revenue, accounts receivable and billing activities for future acquisitions. Working knowledge of revenue recognition accounting. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance Minimum 1-3 years of invoicing and order processing experience Knowledge and experience of software revenue recognition (ASC 606) is a plus Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. MS Excel skills is required Extremely detail oriented, problem solver, and takes accountability for work performed Professional self-starter, able to work independently, and has strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others Willingness to take on more responsibilities as needed Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and personal judgment Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus This position offers a total compensation range of $75,800.00 to $85,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives).
