Kai is a big boy, but also a big sweetie. He was surrendered to us because his owners were in poor health and not able to care for him. He had no vetting prior to coming to us, but is now neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm/lymes negative, flea treated, wormed, and microchipped. He is currently at a board and train facility learning manners and basic obedience. He seems to do well with most dogs in passing but is extremely dominant. He should be the only dog in the home. We do not yet know about cats. He would do best in a home with no children. Kai is a very large boy with a lot of energy. Continuing training will be a requirement of his adoption. Prior breed experience is also required. **Applications will not be screened if they do not meet adoption requirements. **Adoption processOur adoption process consists of an initial application for the animal of interest, followed by reference checks (both personal and with a veterinarian), a home visit, and finally if approved an adoption contract. All animals are required to be inside companion pets and the owner must maintain veterinary care throughout the life of the animal. Adoption fees are $150 for dogs, unless it is fostered through us for another rescue and $75 for cats. All animals are up to date with vaccinations and spayed/neutered before adoption.Shelter locationArrangements can be made to visit with any of our pets, but because we are foster based and do not have one facility, appointments must be made to do so.
