About Naples Classical Academy: Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. Naples Classical Academy is a growing public charter school that opened in the fall of 2021 and now serves scholars grades K - 12. Our school follows a classical curriculum that includes a variety of important subjects including history, Philosophy, Language Arts, Mathematics, visual arts, science, music, physical education, and others. The essence of virtue, Western philosophy, and moral character permeates our curriculum as we seek to instill a love for knowledge and learning in our scholars. Job Purpose: Ensure existing facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. This is a full time position with benefits and a 401-K plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interior- Hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multipurpose rooms & cafeteria Exterior- Perimeter of school building, parking lot, playground & windows Maintenance may include painting, pressure washing and regular system maintenance Procure maintenance and cleaning supplies Carry and move furniture, equipment and supplies Perform specific projects when school is not in session Trash- Empty trash from all receptacles Dust- Window sills, shelves, desks, furniture & air vents Clean and sterilize restroom facilities Clean up bodily messes in accordance with training as needed Cafeteria- Remove waste, clean tables and floors after all breakfast and lunch shifts Sterilize high use areas Responds to requests for building and maintenance repairs and cleanups Various cleaning projects and tasks Assist with building preventative maintenance processes and monitoring systems Clean any other area assigned by the supervisor. Travel may be required to nearby storage, warehouse or facilityParticipate successfully in the training programs Review developments, literature and janitorial sources of information related to job responsibilitiesEnsure adherence to OSHA and safety procedurePerform duties and responsibilities as delegated by supervisors or Head of SchoolFollow federal and state laws and company policiesJob Requirements: Education- High school graduate or equivalent Experience- A minimum of 1 year custodial trade experience preferred Special Qualifications- Must possess the above knowledge, skills and abilities as well as requirements below: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to lift, climb, walk, bend stand and twist continuously Valid driver license Occasional weekend hours in advance for special events as needed
