Supervise and train all dining room employees. Maintain a positive work environment. Interact with residents during their meal to ensure SHSL service expectations are met. Reports to: Director of Dining Services. Compensation: This position is salaried exempt and eligible for performance incentive pay of 10% of annual salary. Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: · Coordinates all personnel and service related to the dining room.· Supervises and trains all dining room employees in customer service, correct serving techniques, sanitation and establishing rapport with residents and guests.· Manages hiring, training and evaluation of all Front of House (FOH) dining personnel and utilizes performance management tools to ensure staff meets or exceeds expectations.· Executes the catering functions for the residents, local community and departments in a timely manner.· Promptly addresses all resident concerns regarding problems in the dining room and accommodates them accordingly.· Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advises guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested; accommodates reasonable requests and notes preferences. As needed, demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens.· Schedules FOH staff.· Maintains FOH operating budget.· Keeps Director of Food Services informed of all that goes onin dining room and kitchen.· Exhibits exceptional communication skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.· Maintains all appropriate records.· Conducts daily pre-meal meetings with staff.· Works with special events coordinator to promote and staff special functions and events.· Complies with all state and county health codes for food handling.· Use of POS system as needed.Restaurant type: Café Casual dining restaurant Fine dining restaurant Qualifications: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Dining Room Supervisor: 1 year (Preferred) Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain (Required) Serv-Safe certified (Required) CPR certification or ability to obtain (Required) Job Posted by ApplicantPro
