The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering and processing pay, benefits, and leave and enforcing policies and procedures. The role of the HRG is to ensure the Company's human capital is supported through the creation and management of programs, policies and procedures by fostering a positive work environment through effective employee-employer relations. The HRG will perform a substantial amount of data analysis and reporting as it relates to HR policies, employees, hiring, compensation, benefits and record maintenance with primary ownership of all end-to-end employee and payroll lifecycle process steps. Job Responsibilities: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Resolves payroll discrepancies and answers any employee payroll queries. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and payroll laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Maintains accurate payroll and employee details within CND's payroll platform, updating records accordingly as changes occur. Prepares routine pay cycle runs and off-cycle pay runs as needed, coordinating with managers to verify hours worked. Works with employees to ensure all necessary tax withholding documentation is maintained. Coordinates issuing W-2 forms to employees. Ensures required state authority registrations for remote employees are filed and maintained accurately with assistance from the Financial Controller. Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 3+ years of experience working in the human resources field 2 years of payroll processing experience required 1 year of experience working in labor relations and compliance 1 year of experience administering benefits programs Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills at all levels of the company. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Thorough knowledge of employment and payroll-related laws and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Education, Certifications, and Licensures: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required. SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR highly preferred Other: Ability to use copiers, fax machines, and PDF scanners to keep inventory and ordering records. Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish sufficient detail. ? Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time ? The position is based at the Company's Scottsdale, AZ headquarters and must be on site a minimum of three days per week with schedule to be coordinated with manager.
