Sayres is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with Secret Clearance in Washington, DC. Responsibilities The Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in the technical implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) services such as scanning, testing, and providing remediation recommendations for vulnerabilities and findings. They will work as a cybersecurity expert throughout all stages of systems engineering, systems integration and testing, and maintenance processes for shipboard and shore based operational sites, laboratory/development environments and land-based test sites in support of the United States Navy. Duties could include but are not limited to the following : Perform cybersecurity and risk assessments on Platform Information Technology (PIT) and PIT control systems (Industrial Control Systems). Perform multiple roles for RMF package development within eMASS. Provide inputs to develop and maintain RMF packages in eMASS. Identify technical and non-technical vulnerabilities that impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability in NAVSEA systems. Work with engineers to remediate existing vulnerabilities or to help develop mitigations that minimize impact, likelihood, or risks, and work with the program to incorporate findings into risk assessment reports. Implement and apply DoD, DoN, CNSS, and NIST policy, instruction, and requirements. Participation in ad hoc cybersecurity data calls. Perform traditional security compliance evaluation activities onboard shipboard platforms. Qualifications & Clearance Requirements Education, Work Experience, Skills, and Clearance Requirements : BA or BS degree required. Security+ certification. 1-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity performing vulnerability assessments. Experience and understanding of the NIST RMF. Experience with Operating Systems such as RHEL, Unix, Windows, Cisco IOS. Good understanding of general networking (TCP/IP, OSPF, etc.) required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to work effectively with a team of government and industry professionals including the ability to generate correspondence in a professional and timely manner. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Preferred Skills: A BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related technical discipline. Preferred first-hand experience with USN Service Craft/Auxiliary Ships or Small Boats Familiarity in network mapping, vulnerability scanning (ACAS, Nessus, etc.), STIGs/SRGs. Experience scripting in VBA. Network+, CAP, or CEH certification.
