3rd shift: 12 am - 8 am Location: Berwick, PA Wise Foods Inc. is currently seeking a 3rd shift Warehouse Supervisor. These individuals will work directly with the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for assigning, directing, and monitoring the work of union associates. You will also oversee shipping quality product in a safe environment and continued improvement measures of process flows to better meet the needs of our customers. Areas of Responsibility: Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of union associates in the following warehouse functions; Stock Pilers, Warehouse, Shipping, Administration and Yard Jockeys Trains new union employees on the companies job functions and standard operating procedures (S.O.P.s) Assigns job duties for union work force, based on daily work load, staffing, qualifications and seniority Monitor individual performance, identifying areas of opportunities and communicating (verbal and written) based on performance and quality of work Evaluate and schedule employee vacation/personal time based on company policies and projected workload Designs and implements work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service within an assigned department Implement and direct company policy and procedures Identify and address areas of opportunity to improve performance and functionality within the Warehouse, while adhering to company policies and union contract Provides work force with tools needed to complete assignments safely and efficiently Monitor workflow though out shift and adjust staffing and assignments as needed to daily goals Ensures safety and housekeeping Identify and address all housekeeping and safety concerns Complete and follow up with HR on any near misses, accident reports, and behavioral problems Alert and submit work orders to maintenance of safety/housekeeping concerns Prepares and submits daily and weekly reports Track work completed and man hours used in daily tracker Tracks and records individual attendance of associates and provides periodic attendance letters Monitor employee time card punches, add vacation/ personal time for payment. Track inventory, scanned product against actual production Oversee monthly warehouse inventory count Recommends daily manpower requirements based on volume Schedules use of overtime for the shift based on current staffing compared budgeted hours and projected daily work load Schedules employee overtime as outlined in union contract, based on work load, absenteeism, vacations, seniority and qualification Education and Experience: Required: 2 or more years' Warehouse experience 2 or more years' experience supervising teams of 10 or more people Experience with inventory control processes General team leadership experience Preferred: Managed teams in a union environment Associate's degree Bilingual English/Spanish About Wise: Wise Foods Inc. is a leading producer of salty snacks with a long heritage.
