Communications / IT Systems Intern Location: Titusville, Florida Position Type: Part-time Internship, 2023 Position Summary Prime objective of this internship will be to assist with installation, testing and troubleshooting, and documentation of Communications and Information Technology Systems, to include voice communications, computer systems, telephones, televisions, CCTV cameras and Access Control systems, switches, routers, firewalls, and other hardware appliances, as well as fiber optic maintenance and cabling. Job Environment Office, non-hazardous and hazardous spacecraft processing areas, warehouse, and other delivery areas (airfields and ports). Requires direct interface with launch operations personnel and their customers. Specialized Knowledge, Critical Skills, and Competencies Interest in space industry is essential Customer Service focused Self-Motivated Trustworthy Detail-Oriented Education and Experience U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS MANDATORY Qualified candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent, and background (either hands-on or higher education) in the Communications, Networking, or Information Technology field. Experience should include a basic understanding of TCP/IP network switching, routing, VoIP telephone systems, and Copper CAT5 cabling. Additional knowledge of basic electronics, electrical systems, HVAC controls, Fiber Optic/Copper cabling, and TCP/IP is highly beneficial. Ready to Join Our Team?
