Salary Range $19.61 - $23.24 depending on qualifications; $1,500.00 sign-on bonus; $500 paid after 30 days worked; Another $500 paid after 90 days worked; the remaining $500 will be paid after 6 months. For a full list of benefits please visit our Career page at https://www.treetop.com/careers/benefits/ SUMMARY: To meet load and unload customer and vendor trucks in a safe and professional manner and to maintain supplies and finished goods inventory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. This is a representative sample - not to imply a complete listing of all responsibilities and tasks. Unloads, loads, transfers and stacks finished goods and supplies in a safe, organized and efficient manner. Unloading/loading trucks includes but is not limited to truck, trailer and railcar units. Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or receiving report to determine items to be transferred, gathered, loaded or unloaded and responds accordingly. Stacks or places items on racks or in rows according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style or product code. Calculates and records shipping/receiving data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly. Extracts and conveys product samples for Quality Assurance purposes. Inventories finished goods and production supplies as needed. Serves as final inspector for product shipments by ensuring that contents of outgoing packages are the proper goods, appear uniform and in good condition. Stretch wraps and/or takes other appropriate measures to protect the contents of outgoing packages when necessary. Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product. Informs Supervisor on a timely basis all operational problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes the documentation of operation trouble spots to corrective action. Conducts oneself in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office programs. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One to three-months related experience and/or training. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors; read and understand documents such as specifications and procedure manuals. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Ability to obtain forklift certification. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read specifications and warning labels and to sort products, distance vision to operate lift trucks, color vision to sort product color coding, peripheral vision to operate forklift and operate line, depth perception to go up or down stairs and ladders, and the ability to adjust focus to sort product, to read labels, and specifications. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently works around moving mechanical parts; exposure to cold, wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat; occasionally works in outside extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc); occasionally exposed to vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock; noise level is usually loud.
