Accent Controls, Inc. is seeking full-time Warehouse Specialists (Warehouse Workers) in the Storage/Inventory area to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution, located at the Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville, Florida. The non-exempt job classification description below is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) with Wage Determinations (WDs). SCA positions furnish services in the U.S. through the employment of service employees. Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs. 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f) ACI is a federal contractor subject to the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements of Executive Order 14042. Therefore, you must certify and provide documentation of full vaccination against COVID-19. If you are unable or unwilling to be vaccinated because of medical reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs, and you accept an offer from ACI, you may request a medical or religious accommodation. If you require an accommodation, the Company will evaluate your request and work with you to identify reasonable alternatives to vaccination, if available. 21410 Warehouse Specialist (Warehouse Worker) As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. Essential Job Functions Understanding large-scale organization systems Knowing inventory control systems Managing multiple projects simultaneously Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods Knowing Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel Advanced Skills Ability to operate a variety of tools Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices Marginal Job Functions Counting and inventory accuracy Performs other related duties as required. Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices. Working Conditions: Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, battery acids, etc., resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Wearing of protective wear and other safety equipment is required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions. Hand trucks, dollies, and other workers are available for assistance with heavier items . Physical and Mental Demands Including, but not limited to, standing, squatting, lifting (up to 50 pounds); carrying, walking; pushing and pulling Including, but not limited to, sitting and driving a forklift Including, but not limited to, problem-solving, decision-making, data interpretation, organization; reading and writing Qualifications Ability to pass a background investigation to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card Education HS Diploma or GED. May substitute one year of relevant experience for one year of education.
