Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing

The Maintenance Technician Crew Leader is responsible for performing highly diversified duties including installing, troubleshooting, repairing and preventative maintenance of facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the facilities business goals and objectives. The role will also be responsible for department administrative duties as well. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment to keep facility running. Conduct inspections and diagnostic testing to determine machine condition and identify worn and damaged parts. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Develop schedule of preventative maintenance to keep all equipment running properly. Corrects machine deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units. Contain costs by evaluating service and parts options. Document repairs/solutions to create shorter downtime in the future. SKILLS/EXPERIENCES Technical understanding 2+ trade knowledge - electrical, welding, automotive or building trade Strong problem solving skills Documentation skills Knowledge of material, methods, tools and equipment Ability to operate hand and power tools.
