Responsibilities: The Intellectual Property Consultant will support Barrow Wise's project at the Defense Technology Transfer Program, and perform the following duties: Establish partnerships with industry, academia, and other government agencies Promote growth and commercialization of technology Review invention disclosures, technical documents, and interview innovators Assess similar external technologies and industry verticals for technology commercialization potential Apply market research to determine target audiences for potential partnerships Research technology and interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define technology, determine potential uses, and uncover story angles all toward target marketing to industry, academia and other government agencies Maintain current knowledge of T2 and IP legislation, changes in T2 authorities, and T2 trends Review patented technologies and identify Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) Research industry trends to identify pools of industry expertise and recommend how technologies could be used commercially Based upon market research, identify target markets and potential customers, recommend which patents have the most potential for commercialization through Patent License Agreements (PLAs) and leverage industry trends to inform T2 agreement development activities Develop and recommend technology business strategies for implementation to gain new or identify potential partnerships for the program Research royalty audit companies and provide at least two recommended candidates to conduct royalty audits Coordinate with the Government to recommend licensing agreements for auditing and engage company to facilitate royalty audits Serve as a liaison between the Government and auditing company to provide materials necessary to conduct the audits Report audit results for the Government An Ideal Candidate has: US Citizenship and a TS/SCI Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph Bachelor's Degree in a related field 5 years of relevant experience Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC offers an ethical, challenging, diverse, and rewarding experience.
