The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables is responsible for the development, management, conservation, and protection of energy, forests, minerals, parks, and wildlife resources. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province. We are recruiting summer students to help our province achieve big things! About Our Opportunity Looking for a summer job but do not want to spend all day inside behind a desk? We are seeking a post-secondary student to work with a passionate team of professional staff to assist with public outreach programs and events in our Provincial Parks and public events throughout the province. If you are enthusiastic about nature and have a passion for educating and interacting with the public, then this is the right job for you! Some of the work you will be involved in includes: • Assist with the creation, implementation and evaluation of pop-up park events throughout the province • Implementation, evaluation and expansion of self-led QR programs in select Provincial Parks • Assist with the 2024 Learn to Camp program • Coordinate and lead events on National Parks Day • Create internal resources to support new programs under development • Work with department staff to organize and deliver a variety of outreach and education programs at events throughout the province.
