This boy is always cheesin`, so Wensleydale (a type of English cheese) is the perfect encapsulation of his infectious smile. He loves life. He loves walks, people, smells, car rides, pools and swimming, lounging, pets, booty scritches, head scritches…okay all scritches, snax, and, of course, cheese.He`s half velcro doggie and half curiosity. He`ll venture a bit to explore but always comes trotting back to you and will usually follow you first. He lets you harness his huggable sausage bod with perfect stillness. He lets you dry off his feets, inner ears, tummy, etc. after your pool party without a flinch. In fact, he loves to be touched anywhere and everywhere, so bring it on.This is Dale’s second stay at the center, through no fault of his own. He spent most of his first stay in a crate, and was beyond excited to be adopted last summer. Unfortunately, his family experienced a crisis and could not give him the loving home he deserved. He returned to the Center needing to lose a few extra pounds and emotionally heartbroken. He is a staff favorite, so with daily love and affection from staff and volunteers, he is finally starting to warm up to people again. His old self is starting to shine through and we can once again see that easy going, snuggly, and well-behaved pup with that Julia Roberts grin.Dale is a lovely balance of energy. He is quite housetrained, liking to potty out and about on the leash. He likes his walks, pool time, exploring, etc. but is also a bit slower in doing these activities. Did we mention he really likes his pool time? He`s not demanding at all and really will do what you`d like to, so if it`s watching Criminal Minds or Love Island, he won`t judge. He just wants you by his side and this time he hopes this time his new family will be forever ever
