This is a wonderfully preserved classical guitar from a coveted era of classical guitar Japanese craftsmanship. The case is original but not nearly as well-made as the guitar for which it was intended. It is as flimsy as most of the classical guitar cases of the era. It has some stitching fray (see photos) but all of latches function. Still... it did its job. The guitar is near-pristine. The guitar has very little signs of wear. The mahogany fretboard, spruce top and rosewood back are immaculate. The tuners are not overly stiff but lock down reliably, functioning as intended by the luthier who created this little gem. It could use a new set of strings, but the intonation is very nice and will require very little set-up. There is a light white mark on the bottom side of the guitar (see photo), but it is not a ding or divot. It will likely clean away with the correct solvent. We thought better of using anything on the surface of this treasure. We'll let the next owner if they care to.The last one that we are aware being sold did so for just a little under $400 back in 2011. We think that starting it off at $450 in a one-day auction is more than fair and are certain it will make the next owner quite fulfilled. The $85 shipping is a little steep but the parcel will be quite sizable and it will also be insured for full retail purchase. Signature service will also be purchased and required of the buyer.
