Job Title: International logistics coordinator Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Salary: €competitive This leading procurement firm is looking for an experienced international logistics coordinator to join their team in Amsterdam. As an international logistics coordinator, you will be responsible for activities to import and export shipments. You must have strong background in freight forwarding, be able to work in fast-paced environment, while maintaining strong communication with customers, logistics service providers and warehouses and plant management to assure the operations meet goals and objectives. A strong knowledge on HTS codes and tariffs is required, including preferred routings and understanding of taxations from different countries. About the role: Direct import and export activities including reviewing documents received from overseas, tracking incoming shipments, creating arrival notices and making arrangements for customs clearance with broker and handling delivery instructions. Generate, file, maintain up-to-date customer records, reports, documentation, database, etc. Coordinate shipments with importers/exporters, truckers, and carriers. Prepare billing package, bill file, email/mail to clients. Ensure that all documentation meets export regulations Arrange cargo movement to international destinations, making booking, preparing and processing documentation. Organize pickup and movement of freight to end port. Ability to handle International drop-shipments per business standard operations procedure. This is you: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred.3+ years of experience in logistics management required. Good working knowledge of supply chain management. Advanced knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and ocean ports along with basic knowledge of Regulatory Laws PC Proficient: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
