Do you enjoy working with people, especially people with autism or intellectual disability? Are you looking for an opportunity to work either part-time, or full-time where there are plenty of hours to be scheduled for your weekly shifts? Job Summary Provide daily support and supervision to individuals so that they might live as independently and safely as possible. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide a supportive, caring, safe, and home environment by attending to individual needs, respecting differences, and supporting growth and independence; Maintain the home and its furnishings, including minor indoor and outdoor work; Attend to the health needs of each individual, including necessary appointments, proper diet and exercise, and properly administer medication to individuals; Deal with immediate individual problems in collaboration with program staff, with serious problems being referred to the Supervisor; Assist in the management of household budget and individual expenditures; Attend meetings and training as required; Assist in the preparation of reports as required; Oversee and assist with the daily operation of the home, such as general housekeeping, cooking, laundry, shopping and lawn care; Act as host for potential referrals and visitors; Provide transportation for individuals as required; Perform sleepover or overnight awake shifts, as needed; Other duties may be assigned.
