MEET NICO! This stunning and friendly pittie mix is 2 years old and weighs in at a healthy 53 lbs. Nico came to us from an underserved shelter, and we absolutely love this easy going pup. Nico has started obedience training and is learning how to walk beside his handler. He knows how to 'sit,' but when he sees his staffie girlfriend, he'd rather try to get her attention than sit. She's pretty gorgeous, so we are working on his playing hard to get technique. Nico is crate trained and house broken. He is fabulous in the car and doesn't mind getting baths. He plays with multiple dogs of varying ages, sizes, and attitudes. Unlike many of the dogs we get, Nico is past that jumpy, mouthy phase. He will bark in delight at the prospect of having one on one time with his people, but he really is mostly quiet. He could live very comfortably in a townhouse. Nico has not been exposed to cats that we know of, and even though he is super polite, we don't recommend a home with children under the age of 10. We wanted to postpone writing his bio (again) because Nico is just such an easy, friendly dog, and we wouldn't mind if he stuck around a while longer. He's one of the few dogs we have that may be good for first time dog adopters. A dog like this doesn't come around very often. Nico's adoption donation fee is $350, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip.
