She was on death row and not just her, her entire litter of puppies was going down with her.How in the world does a perfectly gorgeous Golden Retriever mix, with the best personality and manners in the WORLD end up in this position?Because she was pregnant.Because she had babies.Because her owner didn't want to take care of them.That's how...Then comes the death sentence, the one where, they never even get a chance at the life that could have been. The happiness, the joy, breathing fresh air every day, treats, blankets, beds and toys. All non existent.When we first saw the networking post asking for help for Noreen, we jumped, we said yes, we will find her a safe place, pull her out of that shelter immediately!We can tell you right now.. This is going to be an incredible dog! Please say yes to adopting her. Here is Noreen's Story from the beginning at the shelter:Oh my goodness, this momma is such a sweet girl! We thought she was shy at first but now think she might just be the chillest mom we have seen in a long time!! She walks past the other dogs with no issues, got dressed up and got some good loves from our volunteer. I don’t think she’s timid just super chill. I’d love to see more of her personality outside the shelter. She would come over to me for pets and treats and would sink her head on my knee or in my hand for attention. I alerted barc staff because she did pee outside about 15 times so I think she could have UTI. She walked right back to her puppies easy but I think she enjoyed the one on one attention. She’s very sweet and her sad face broke my heart.Currently: August 9, 2023: Noreen update. From her foster parents: Our family of four agrees that she is truly one of the sweetest dogs we've ever met. My husband doesn't tend to get super attached to dogs, but even he has succumbed to her. :) She doesn't ask for much. She gives you "love bites" when you walk in the door. She is excellent in a crate. She is potty trained and has been the most amazing mom to her puppies. She is the perfect mixture of playful and calm. She is learning how to be a dog and we can tell she was abused and probably lived on the streets in the past, but she is adapting well to the spoiled life. :) We absolutely love her.
