Description:
Conn 40b very rare horn. Lacquer is old and original. All slides move but ring slide is a slow mover. Missing one brace. Horn is very straight with three dings that are visible, one on the bell, and two on the bell pipe receiver where it connects to the pistons. She is a candidate for full restoration as her valves are clean and fast and she plays beautifully. A version of the 40b is in the metropolitian museum of the arts, based on the color of the bell I think she was a lacquered horn to start and now 70 plus years later the lacquer has all gone dark. Will include original functional case.
