Description:
We are looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant with accounting experience to join our growing company. This is a fast-paced department and the ideal candidate should be able to multi-task or shift gears at a moments notice. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant would be responsible for various tasks to include daily cash reconciliations for multiple accounts, A/R, sales tax returns, etc. This is a close-knit department so the ideal candidate must work well with others and be a team player. Must be proficient in Excel and have recent QuickBooks experience. Duties include: A/R. Daily recording and reconciling of cash. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Preparation of monthly sales tax returns. Various other accounting tasks as needed. Skills: Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Ability to learn POS systems.
