This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was refinished by Yves Thibeault under the direction of artist Jean-Pierre Lafrance as number two in the Art Cars Project. in which a series of artists have completed uniquely painted Porsche 911s in cooperation with the Muse National des Beaux-Arts du Qubec in Canada. Power comes from a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. and features include 16″ Fuchs wheels. a sunroof. Mahogany leather upholstery. power-adjustable front seats. air conditioning. cruise control. power windows. central locking. and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo.The oil-based custom paintwork was applied by auto-body painter Yves Thibeault. who used airbrushes. hand brushes. spray paints. markers. finger-painting. and sanding to translate Jean-Pierre Lafrance’s directives onto the car itself.
