We are a therapist-owned physical therapy clinic located in Hermitage, PA that was founded to provide both patients and clinicians with the physical therapy experience they need and deserve. While most clinics focus on cramming as many patients on the schedule as they can, we take a very different approach - scheduling patients for individual treatment sessions with 45-60 minutes of one-on-one time per session. Demand for this role is always high, and we invite you to apply if you feel confident and able to achieve the tasks and responsibilities listed below: TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES The main responsibility of a Physical Therapist at Roscoe Physiotherapy is patient retention. They deliver on our promise to help people get back to living an active and pain free life without the use of pain medications, injections, or surgery, even when they’ve been told they just have to live with the pain. We are looking for individuals who have the ability to perform the following skills: Communicate with patients in a way that allows them to confidently make the right decision about the plan of care you suggest. Clearly communicate what the patient is to expect daily and throughout their entire plan of care. Ensure that patients achieve their clinical and health/lifestyle outcomes (in the time frame you set.) Develop a mutually beneficial relationship that benefits both the patient and the clinic. Communicate the value of our service with the fee/price that the patient will need to pay to access it. Ensure the patients remain excited about the prospect of coming for PT (and remain committed to the treatment plan that you suggest). Provide a high level of customer care that will cause patients to want to come back frequently (and tell their friends and family about us as well). Ensure that patients coming for free taster/discovery sessions convert to a first evaluation (when appropriate). Ensure that patients agree to a plan of care that will help them achieve their health goals. Ensure that patients complete a full plan of care (as agreed in the first session). Ensure that clinical notes are kept up-to-date, accurate, and completed in the agreed time frame needed for the clinic to complete the billing. Ensure billing is done appropriately and accurately in regards to different payor scenarios. Participate in, contribute to, and help to develop staff educational content, marketing content, blog writings, and any such promotional materials as deemed necessary by supervisor. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS With regard to Physical Therapy skill set, we are looking for individuals who: Have a high comfort level and skill in providing hands-on manual therapy techniques and believe strongly in the usage of “hands-on” treatment to help patients achieve their goals. Utilize individualized treatment plans and exercises that are specific to the patient’s case and accompanied with clear and concise direction and cues (visual, tactile, and verbal), that help the patient to appropriately learn the skilled technique and understand why it has value in helping them to get better. Have a strong desire to collaborate for a “patient-centered team approach” of care to ensure the best possible solution is achieved to produce the fastest and highest quality of outcome for the patient. Are able to “think outside the box” regarding intervention and understand how to appropriately progress a patient’s program based upon their individualized needs, as well as the best evidence-based approach to their care. Have a strong desire to go above and beyond for their patients, as well as for their co-workers and employer, in order to serve the greater mission of helping one million people to live a more active and pain-free life. This will at times involve performing tasks outside those of being a “Physical Therapist” with the understanding no job is “beneath” any person within our organization. Are comfortable speaking in front of groups and crowds such as at workshops, community events, assisted and independent living facilities, businesses, and any group deemed appropriate by the employer to help spread our message and provide value to those in attendance. Hold their communication skills in high regard and relish in the opportunity to effectively and efficiently take leadership of clinical situations when needed. Believe in “radical transparency”, which involves openly discussing mistakes and failures with other staff and supervisors, for the sole purpose of expediting personal and professional growth, as well as improving the company’s operating standards and services to their absolute highest abilities. Thrive on tracking their performance through objective measures as both a way to ensure the success of the company, as well as for the purpose of objectively tracking the success of the employee in their position (clearly defining expectations and achieving advancement through surpassing these standards). Have a strong understanding of CPT code definitions and best practices when utilizing appropriate codes to best deliver the skilled services a patient may need.
