Warranty Claims Analyst Job Locations US-SC-West Columbia Job ID 2023-2439 Category Corporate Administration Type Full-Time Overview The Warranty Claims Analyst is responsible for processing warranty and insurance claims and administering the TEPS program for Blanchard Machinery. Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment. Reviews all warranty work orders prior to closing to ensure appropriate information is included in Service Link. Closes and invoices warranty work orders. Ensures appropriate Allied/3rd Party Vendors are invoiced for non-OEM warranty repairs. Advises TEPS dealers with warranty repairs and provides guidance on warranty claim as needed. Writing CAT standard and goodwill claims on invoiced warranty work orders within 30 days of last labor. Works with all warranty reports to ensure that claims are being processed within time guidelines and settlements are correct. Enters Caterpillar and Allied warranty claims. Manages all non-allowed claims from Caterpillar and Allied vendors. Negotiates goodwill adjustments as deemed necessary. Receives warranty payments of at least 95% of labor claimed. Manages documentation required for claims. Assists branches in what is and is not covered under warranty/ESC. Performs required calculations and receives approval for warranty. Manages and updates DBS warranty and labor rate functions for CAT and Allied vendors. Requests DBS and Service Link changes/updates as issues arise. Provides training to new dealer personnel on warranty procedures and claims processing. Updates appropriate departments on upcoming policy changes as related to warranty. Satisfactory relationship is established with all customers at all times. All customer requests or complaints are acknowledged and customer informed of status within 24 hours. Uses critical thinking skills to create develop solutions to problems. Makes sound decisions after gathering the necessary facts and weighing the pros and cons of a particular judgment. Is able to quickly evaluate the facts and make a sound decision based on experiences and common sense when an immediate answer is required. Writing Allied or non-CAT standard and goodwill claims on invoiced warranty work orders within 30 days of last labor using individual claiming systems (most are internet based). Reviewing settlements of paid claims to ensure maximum recovery-correspond with store managers for additional details on short paid claims for possible supplemental claims to CAT or Allied vendors. Preparing settlement documentation on Allied claims for accounting. Preparing Insurance quotes/registration of labor and extended coverage to insurance companies, CAT, and Allied. Assigning warranty type codes and notes in DBS. Qualifications igh school diploma required, AS or BS degree in business related field preferred. Previous experience working with warranty claims is preferred. High degree of inter-personal skills with excellent written (detail oriented) and verbal communications skills is required. Must have basic technical knowledge of machine models and functions both CAT and Allied. Must be an enthusiastic, hard worker with ability to complete time sensitive work based on self-initiative with minimal supervision. Knowledge of DBS and CAT internet Sites (Simsi, SIS, Global Warranty) is a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Software. Ability to professionally and effectively communicate with executives, managers, employees, vendors and customers. Personal commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence. Working ConditionsThe physical environment requires the employee to work inside throughout the year. Position requires that the employee work on-site at designated location. Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting. Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities. Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
