Are you looking for an opportunity to use your construction materials lab testing skills? Then Terra Firma Materials a leading supplier of sand, gravel, aggregates and asphalt in south Texas has a great opportunity for you! Job Tasks and Responsibilities: - Performs field and laboratory tests relating to hot mix asphalt, aggregate materials, and concrete.- Uses lab instruments to determine pavement compositions.- Performs material sampling of asphalt hot mix, aggregates and concrete.- Conducts material testing using TXDOT quality control guidelines.- Reviews plans to ensure compliance with testing specifications.- Work will be within a field laboratory in at the Sullivan City, Texas plant. Job Required Skills and Qualifications: - 1 year minimum construction materials testing experience.- Currently hold Level 1A AGG101 Certification or able to obtain one within 90 days of hire or as scheduled.- High School Diploma or GED.- Motivated and self-directed individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.- Ability to read plans/specifications highly preferred.- Precision in work and attention to detail.- Maintain a clean and organized work area.- Must be able to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work activities.- Ability to work both outdoors in varying weather conditions and indoors.- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
