Aspen Publishing is seeking one (1)Field Sales Manager to be a part of a growing Sales team. This positionis 100% remote and is locatedin the MidWest (IL, WI, MN, IA, CO, NE, KS). Youwill be partnering with members of the Sales & Marketing team while selling all products in the legal education portfolio, tracking business, adhering to metrics, and providing world class customer service.TITLE: Field Sales ManagerREPORTS TO: Law School Sales DirectorDEPARTMENT: SALESFLSA STATUS: EXEMPTPOSITION SUMMARY: Generate new sales and retain existing sales in assigned territory; Develop and qualify prospect lists from law school and undergraduate legal faculty, deans, administrators, and library personnel; Make in-person presentations to prospective clients to explain Company products and services and their alignment with the client's needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Achieve annual territory sales goalsGenerate leads and close sales for adoptable electronic and print publications with law school facultyWork with Bookstore Sales Channel Manager to sell discretionary and supplemental titles to students through law school bookstoresWork with Institutional Sales Manager to increase Institutional Sales and drive adoption of Digital Bookshelf and Inclusive AccessMaintain Aspen Publishing's strong position in the law school market by ensuring continuity of businessMaster print and electronic product content for Aspen Publishing and competition titles, and share market intelligence and sales techniques with colleagues Explain concepts clearly and adapt presentations to meet audience needsSubmit weekly school visit reports, including projections of adopted businessUpdate and maintain faculty and bookstore contact management system, including information on courses taught and books used Ensure timely and accurate submissions of sales reporting and metricsParticipate in biannual sales meetings, as well as external conferences (Association of American Law Schools Annual Conference and other meetings) as directed Build strong relationships with Legal Education purchase influencers, including Academic Deans, Academic Support coordinators, Registrars, authors, and facultyOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred2-5 years of Sales experience preferably in legal and/or academic salesExperience developing and qualifying productsAbility to work with CRM to manage and maintain an accurate customer data base, Zoho a plusAbility to demo online technology products both in person and virtuallyAbility to explain concepts clearly and adapt presentations to meet audience needsAbility to manage a large client base across a large geographic territoryConsistent achievement of sales quotasWilling to travel domestically on a regular basis (50%) Expertise in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and Word requiredProactive self-starter with hands-on approachExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and writtenMust have excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced, changing environmentAbility to meet deadlines in a consistent and accurate mannerDemonstrated ability in working independently and as part of a teamPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work on computer for extended periods of timeAbility to listen and speak carefully while interacting with othersAbility to lift up to 40 pounds occasionallyABOUT US: Aspen Publishing is a leading provider of educational content and digital learning solutions to law schools in the U.S. and around the world.
