Position Description: As a TurnPoint Senior Systems Engineer you will shape the technical direction of some of the most impactful companies all around the world. This position is 100% remote and will report to our CTO, Aaron Marks. You will propose, plan, and execute technical work autonomously and with the CTO and technicians as required. You will oversee monitoring your own workflow, due dates, and project tasks. You will be accountable for accurately performing technical work and thorough internal documentation through to successful resolution and closure. In your role you will be accountable for escalating key executive and tech issues appropriately to CTO. Our Senior Systems Engineers have done more than just administer systems that other people built. You have experience designing, planning, and implementing complex solutions. You are comfortable working autonomously and with the CTO and technicians as required. What you’ll be doing: Act as primary liaison between clients and internal technical team. Engineering and implementing new Microsoft centric solutions for clients. Project management of clients by balancing customer communication, task execution, and project work for timely completion. Conduct review of client monitoring and backups pertaining to tech projects, escalating issues as needed to CTO. Support our clients by perform daily technical client consulting remotely. Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of all client inquiries using online tools. Work efficiently through your projects and tasks to ensure that deliverables are met in a timely manner, while also allowing for the unexpected without letting it derail other projects. Adhere to TurnPoint Service Level Agreements – keeping us on time and budget. Ensure technical documentation for both internal TurnPoint Tech manuals as well as record and document client environments to maintain current client technical documentation. Identify and help drive tech team standardization and best practices projects through to completion. Monitor budgets for owned projects and guide ensure co-workers are on-budget. Providing training and mentoring to the tech team, where applicable What we’re looking for: Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas: system architecture, design, and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, technical system documentation Experience with Azure technologies (Operations Management Suite, Application Insights, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Security Center, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Automation) Thorough understanding of Microsoft applications/infrastructure Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and associated services (Intune, Autopilot, etc.) Strong understanding of cloud networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.) Knowledge of Windows Server: 2012+ Infrastructure design/deployment/management. Failover Clustering, Hyper-V Clusters, Storage Spaces (SOFS preferred), RRAS, NPS, RDS, PowerShell Scripting, and Group Policy (Folder Redirection, Security Settings Knowledge of Exchange Server/Online, Lync/Skype4B Server/Online, SharePoint Server/Online, SQL Server, Office 365, ADFS (DirSync/AADSync/AAD Connect), Exchange Hybrid deployments, EOP, streamed Office deployment, Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environmen Knowledge of firewall and switching technologies Knowledge of tools like Jira, ZenDesk, Asana, OneNote Our Company Values: Exemplify and champion superior client communication and service.
