Our Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with an invaluable work experience through meaningful projects that will help you grow and develop both personally and professionally.Throughout the 12-week program, you will collaborate with some of the best in the industry, receive on-the-job training, participating in professional development workshops, executive speaker series, and other networking and social events!How You'll Help Us Connect the World As an Engineering Intern, you will be involved with several projects and activities pertaining to the development and support of Category Copper cable. You will work closely with the R&D Engineers and Technicians to advance the development projects to which you are assigned and to learn and assist with other activities that our team works on.This role will be based in Claremont, NC.You Will Make an Impact By Contributing as a team member for one or more development projectsLearning how to test copper cable, performing material analysis, and assisting the Test Lab with qualification activitiesCrafting technical documentationAnalyzing data and providing the statistical information neededRequired Qualifications for Consideration Junior or Senior standing in a BS, BA or master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited universityProven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the futureMilitary-Affiliated candidates encouraged to apply (Veterans, Military Spouses, and Guard/Reservists)You Will Excite Us If You Have a curiosity about recognizing problems and implementing solutionsHave Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft Excel and WordHave a balanced skill set for both hands-on and data analysis/reporting activitiesHave some property of materials experienceShow innovation through outstanding ideas and propose them to the teamHave strong initiative; are a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesHave experience working in a fast-paced environment and flexible to changing prioritiesWhat Happens After You ApplyLearn how to prepare yourself for the next steps in our hiring process by visiting Why CommScopeCommScope is on a quest to deliver connectivity that empowers how we live, work, and learn.
