Regional Contractor Sales Leader - South Central Location(s): Dallas, TX, US Houston, TX, US Austin, TX, US { display: inline; } Function: Sales Audience: Experienced Professional Work Arrangement: Remote Requisition ID: 61753 .buttontext5586999d5c42d3aa a{ border: 1px solid transparent; } .buttontext5586999d5c42d3aa a:focus{ border: 1px dashed #d40f7d !important; outline: none !important; } PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Regional Contractor Sales Leader is accountable for the development and execution of the long term strategy that enables Owens Corning to grow its business profitably within the re-roof segment by converting and growing with the key influencers in the remodeling segment, roofing contractors - primarily the Established Local Leaders. Alignment with the sales organization is critical to the success of this role. The leader has responsibility for the operation and execution of our current contractor programs, the Platinum Preferred Contractor and Preferred Contractor programs - including ASM training, contractor events/training and as the first point of contact for ASMs and contractors with questions or requiring approvals - and is expected to provide leadership and direction to the sales teams. The Leader will work in concert with Area Director and Regional Sales Leaders to identify strategic MSA focus areas, and strategic market development areas. The leader is accountable to provide the voice of the contractor in actively participating in the development of new products, services and marketing materials to support our roofing contractors' businesses. Reports to: Director of Business Development Span of Control: No direct reports, but indirect leadership and influence is a necessity JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Know the Customer Current market dynamics & future trends What contractors value Provide insights to contractors Ensure contractor insights are included in Customer Discovery Develop direct and strategic relationships with Established Local contractors Develop and Execute the Contractor Strategy Work in concert with both Area Directors and Regional Sales Leaders to identify strategic MSA focus areas, and strategic market development areas Develop annual growth plan for contractor business within designated territory Interacts directly with sales team and renders decisions on new applications for membership, purchase volume, funding, etc. Be the first point-of-contact for the ASMs with questions about the programs Interacts regularly with Marketing, Inside Sales, Technical Department, Warranty Department and Building Science helping to further initiatives aimed at addressing contractor demand Make joint sales calls on current and targeted contractors with local ASMs Provide Tools and Resources to Help BMDS Grow Sales within the Re-Roof Segment Create and maintain contractor programs Work with Marketing, Inside Sales, Technical Department, Warranty Department and Building Science to help further initiatives aimed at addressing contractor demand Contractor trends and tools Communicate all aspects of the program to contractors and BMDS team Training and Development Act as subject matter expert in training to current and potential contractors in key markets Grow and develop current and incoming Area Sales Managers JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience 5 years of customer-facing experience in the residential building products industry with at least 2 years of customer-facing residential roofing industry experience. Prior exposure to professional re-roofing market a plus EXPERIENCE: Customer-facing marketing or sales experience building relationships beyond the transactional customer Worked with independent and entrepreneurial business owners and knowledgeable of the problems they face running their business Worked in an environment where you must influence the behavior of associates who do not report to you in order to achieve a common goal KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills including speaking in front of large audiences; the ability to work at all levels of a customer organization (CEO to shingle installer) Demonstrated negotiation skills Demonstrated training skills Building science knowledge, specifically at the "top of the house" Live the safety standard; adhere to safety responsibilities #LI-KM2 #LI-Remote About Owens Corning Owens Corning is a global building and construction materials leader committed to building a sustainable future through material innovation.
