A mining company with operations in North America and Europe, and head office in Vancouver has a great opportunity for The Manager, Tax. You will be responsible for various tax compliance requirements and related projects at, including preparing corporate tax returns, information returns, and quarterly tax provisions, as well as conducting ad hoc research and coordinating projects. The Manager, Tax will also assist in performing select treasury functions. Main Responsibilities Activities Preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including analysis of deferred taxes Preparation of Canadian and US corporate income tax returns and information returns including Forms T106, T1134, T1135, and Cb CR Corresponding with the tax authorities including preparing responses to audit requests Documenting intercompany transactions including loans and other payments Updating transfer pricing documentation Calculating the surplus balances of Lundin Mining’s subsidiaries Researching relevant tax issues Performing ad hoc tax related duties or special projects as assigned Assisting with the treasury function Education, Qualifications and Experience Minimum 5 years of tax experience at an accounting firm Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting Professional accounting designation (CPA) Completion of CICA In-depth Tax Program or Master’s in Taxation Strong computer skills including detailed knowledge of Excel and Tax Prep Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Capable of working independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail The company has excellent benefits in addition to other perks.
