Hereâs a super nice, rust free low miles 1981 FJ40 with factory power steering and factory air conditioning. Clean Carfax shows this truck had 32,000 miles in 1991. By May of 1998 she was at 36,167 and today has 42,700.The sun baked the original paint to point where most the horizontal surfaces were getting down to primer so in 2016 the truck received an exterior repaint in the original Medium Blue (code 857). The top and bumpers also were repainted in the correct colors.I've spent months repairing and fine tuning this truck. She's had a ton of love and turned out to be a really stellar example. She's a KEEPER!Highlights: Rust free original low miles truck Factory emissions in place Original working AM radio Original mats in excellent condition Original upholstery New OEM dash pad and correct headliner New clutch Excellent brakes Original carb rebuilt New manifold gasket, thermostat, fan clutch Everything works as it should Runs and drives great.This truck has seen little use over it's life and shows no signs of any demanding off road activity. The body is excellent. There are no scratches, dents, blemishes or rust. She sits on her original stock suspension with new BFG tires.Factory power steering makes this FJ40 a pleasure to drive. The original 2F engine has very good power and the truck runs and handles among the best of them. It's smooth and quiet. She shifts through all gears smoothly. The taller 3:70 gears means she will do 65-70mph without a problem. 4WD Hi and Low work perfectly. She's quite and smooth going down the road. The truck needs nothing. Very low miles dry climate original clean truck that runs great.She has all her factory emissions. The original jack, jack rods, toolkit, door straps and inspection light are included. If you want a great late model FJ40 with a high degree or originality, hereâs a very nice one!
