Legendary comedienne Lucille Ball and her husband, Gary Morton, purchased this stunning ivory colored Bentley at Beverly Hills Rolls-Royce just one year before her death. According to Auctions Americaâs 2014 research for its sale, this 1988 Bentley was one of Lucyâs last vehicles and Gary Morton sold it to its next owner in 1991. Today, it has only 39,800 babied original miles and is in impeccable condition inside and out. All the original magnolia paint, tan Connolly leather interior restored, Julian fawn headlining cloth, deep fawn carpeting, and straight-grain walnut wood veneers are virtually flawless. Included with the sale are very extensive service records showing thousands of dollars in maintenance, lambâs wool carpet overlays, factory hazard roadside kit, ownerâs manual, and the custom made monogrammed dash cover with the initials of Lucyâs husband, Gary Morton. This collector owned Bentley has been meticulously maintained since new and is ready for the next owner to enjoy for many years.Named after the legendary Mulsanne Straight at LeMans, the new Bentley Mulsanne of 1980 perfectly exemplified the spirit of Bentley Motors and their sporting heritage. Rolls-Royce offered the Bentley marque to clients who wanted ultimate luxury, but still wished to remain relatively understated. For 1987, a revised version called the Mulsanne S was introduced. The S featured the Turbo R style of center console and instrumentation to give the Mulsanne a more distinctly sporting character. Updated alloy wheels, more modern interior appointments and firmer suspension for a sportier ride were all welcome highlights.
