1982 Jeep J10 HONCHO all original. Rust free. ZERO RUST.Starts every time. Cruises at 65 mph with a finger on steering wheel. Automatic. Inline straight 6 258.Exterior paint and decals are 100% original. No touch up paint. Limited wear on body. Decals have a few nicks. Body sheet metal has NO corrosion or bubbling. Inside of bed is great shape as it was covered from day 1 with a LEER camper shell which was a dealer option. The LEER emblem reads Jeep Custom Cap by LEER. Factory brush guard up front. Aftermarket PIAA lights (grills removed and available). Rear bumper has been repainted, no rust or pitting underneath paint just needed a fresh coat. The plastic original rear bumper black end caps are completely intact. You can read on the inside of the caps hand-written from factory LEFT / RIGHT. Riding on new Toyo Open Country A/T tires and factory rims. Tracks 100% straight. Alignment done steering wheel straight. New brakes. Stops dead straight no pulls.Interior is immaculate. New carpet just installed. See photo of exposed factory floors taken before new carpet / padding was installed. Sheet metal floors are 100% perfect no corrosion. Original floor mats. Seats are 100% original and clearly excellent. Dash is perfect. No notable wear on interior. Center arm rest is perfect. Headliner and visors are perfect. All gauges work. All gauges illuminate. Seat belt light illuminates in gauge cluster with key in ignition. Seat belt chime rings when you start it up.The radio is missing one knob. The radio backlight illuminates, so does the AM/FM lights, as well as the indicator light which illuminates when the radio is tuned to frequency. There is even a light when you slide out the ashtray. The underdash light illuminates when you open a door. The dome light illuminates when you open the door. The vanity light in the passenger's visor illuminates with the switch.I had carpet installer make new side panel pieces the original cardboard ones were past their life expectancy, but I will include with the sale, along with old carpet if you want it.Sliding rear window. Wipers work, but I never drove it in the rain. Wiper wash fluid sprayer works. If you leave the headlights on and take key out of ignition, the chime reminds you to turn off the lights.Factory air conditioner fans work but not ice cold, I never investigated.Mechanically all that was necessary as preventative maintenance was belt, hoses, filters, coolant, tires, and alignment. Undercarriage is as nice as youâd expect for a California truck. Photos tell it all. Dry, no rust.The original white LEER top is in great shape. The pistons work and hold up glass hatch. There are sliding windows, I would install new screens if camping. There is a hand written decal in glove box reads camper shell 6ft-3â and some other words I canât read, probably dealerâs prep notes. Cap is lightweight aluminum. I can install prior to shipping or pick up.There are no paint touch ups on this vehicle at all. There are slight and few abrasions, nicks and impressions in metal. This is almost a 40 year old truck that was gently used. It is not a 1982 Porsche only used to go golfing, so expect a flaw, otherwise go to your local Jeep dealership and buy a Gladiator like everyone else. This is an impressive survivor rare truck. I am just clearly honest, it has seen a gentle 75K+ miles of road and use, and although very limited, there are minor flaws. The impeccable interior speaks to how well this truck was kept.
