Description:
This is a restored 1946 3/4 ton Chevy flatbed John Deere Tribute Parts Truck. This truck has been frame off restored with frame and all parts protected with POR-15 rust preventive. The interior has been lined with Dynamat heat and sound barrier protective product. The interior seat has been custom covered with John Deere colors and a 1940's John Deere emblem embroidered into the seat. The truck was equipped with a 250 Chevy inline 6-cylinder engine with a Clifford water cooled intake. It has fenton split headers with dueled out stock mufflers (not loud mufflers), two barrel Holley carb, mushroom chrome breather, electronic distributor, air conditioner, new heater box, custom made electric power steering, power disc brakes in front and drum in rear. The original þ-ton differential was taken out and replaced with a 1994 Chevy ý-ton for driving purposes, but the original þ-ton leaf springs are still in place on front and back. Also the original straight axle is still intact with new king pins, installed a 1983 rebuilt þ-ton tranny 4 speed, new custom drive shaft, new custom built flatbed was made and the cypress wood was custom cut and fitted with stainless steel strips. The cypress wood is 2 inches thick even in the bed floor. The wood was planed down to that size and fitted by a cabinet maker. This truck was fitted with electric fans for cooling and wired to operate automatically with an a/c compressor. New tires mounted on wheel vintiques artillery wheels in 2016.
