1972 Ford Maverick Grabber 302 V8 - Authenticated through Marti Auto Works as a real Grabber and the Vin # showing it as well to be a true Grabber with the 302 V8 optionOriginally it had been built in Canada and sold new in the US. Still retains it's original 302 V8 / C4 automatic transmission, only 67k original miles / odometer is still in working shape. Had the tank and lines cleaned and installed fresh gas, new battery, drained the fluids and gave it a oil and transmission fluid change, had the carburetor rebuilt, new fuel pump and new oil and fuel filter, new spark plugs set, new distributor cap and rotor, new engine coolant Thermostat housing and new engine Thermostat, new radiator cap, new upper hose and new master brake cylinder installed.The Maverick started right up! Engine sounds healthy. I have not driven it much more then 100 miles or so since having all the work done. It drives and shifts into all gears just fine not smoking or over heating. The tires are older they will eventually need to be replaced, the brakes function and stop but could use some more work (replace all cylinders if you plan on using it daily), replace the older gas lines and what ever else a car may need done that has sat as long.. Factory color is Medium Bright Yellow, the body and paint shows to be in good shape for it's age having no rust or rot issues and being solid. Panels look to be original and aprons look straight.Floors / undercarriage are original and dry. As well as inner wells, jambs and trunk are in good shape as well. (trunk was coated for protection and pan is solid never having rust issues) Interior is original and in immaculate shape for its age including seats, dash, carpet, headliner have never been redone and even the details of the gauges, buttons show amazing for being original. Has some time period correct ad ons at the time including vintage pioneer radio and vintage RAC gauges (radio turns on and gauges still work) Has power steering and AC (does turn on but doesn't blow cold) head lights and seat belt buzzer all still work. Trim / chrome is original and shines well for its age. I recently had it polished and washed the dirt and dust that's been on it for decade'sKeep in mind, Ford is not restored nor a trailer queen, this is a unrestored vehicle that is not perfect but for its age and condition it is in great shape.
