We’re searching for a paralegal with experience handling estate planning and business organization cases to join our team. The ideal candidate is also reliable, well-organized, precise, detail-oriented, highly ethical, and hardworking.The Paralegal must be able to climb stairs as the candidate's position is on the second floor with no elevator.Compensation commensurate with experience - applicable range: $55,000-$65,000/year To apply for this position, please submit a detailed resume as well as a cover letter telling us why you are searching for a new position, why you are the best fit for our firm, and your salary expectations, as well as completing the DISC assessment and proficiency exams. Responsibilities: Job duties include but are not limited to: • Drafting correspondence• Drafting legal documents• Drafting Wills, trusts, and advance directives• Drafting business organization documents• Communication with clients• Drafting business sales transaction documents• Working with financial institutions• Working with other attorney's offices• Working with the County Clerk’s office• Maintaining correspondence with clients and other involved parties• Performing various administrative tasks required to organize and maintain files (copying, scanning, faxing, etc.)• Experience in using Excel spreadsheets is a plus!• Creating annual minutes and other corporate documents• Maintaining our Corporate Care Program• Accurately entering billable time• Managing a caseload of open files• Work closely with the Lead Paralegal and Attorney• Attendance at firm events, such as client appreciation, and team-building activities• Keeping an accurate case list• Working for a firm with an excellent reputation in the area• Work directly with the supervising attorney Qualifications:• Possess the ability to work independently• Possess the ability to prioritize duties• Possess the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.• Possess the ability to work as a Team Member• Have excellent organizational skills• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude• Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently but as a team member• Are extremely proficient with Microsoft Word• Are extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel• Are extremely proficient with Adobe• Proficient in Practice Panther client management software• Proficient in using practice management software• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills• Meticulous file documentation• Comfortable working in a team environment• Have familiarity with timekeeping software and experience working in a law office• Have experience in working in estate planning• Have experience in working in business organization matters• Must understand time management• 2 to 5 years of experience• A paralegal certificate is a plus!• Florida Notary Public• Ability to act as a notary public• Lives within 40 minutes of Venice• Background check and references required Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 yearly About Company: At Ledbetter Law Group we value and protect the culture of our firm.
