Introducing Meeko!This handsome fella is a super sweet 4 year old 120 lb lean Great Dane who enjoys meeting people and is always ready for a new adventure!Meeko is healthy, up to date on his vaccines, neutered, housetrained, and kennel trained. For basic commands he knows sit, down, come and shake. He is a very vocal boy who barks at everything and anything, this is something he will need to work on. Due to being quite vocal, a home in the city limits is not currently the ideal fit for him. While being extremely affectionate, he is also quite stubborn and loves to push boundaries. He is looking for a Dane experienced home dedicated to helping him become the best Dane we know he can be. He has a lot of energy to get out and needs plenty of exercise/daily stimulation. We ask that his forever home must have a fenced yard that is 6 ft high, at this point he does not have any recall and makes a game of it when he runs off, so a secured yard is a must!Meeko seeks out men and will benefit from a positive male presence in his forever home. While there are no children in the current foster home, he was originally in a home with an 11 and 16 year old and they noted he loved the kids. If there are children in an adoptive home, they must have previous big dog experience. Being a very large and active boy, he could could knock down or be too much for younger or inexperienced kidsMeeko likes other dogs but requires slow supervised introductions. His demeanor can be confusing due to his size. It is recommended that there be no cats be in the forever home until he bonds with his new family and they feel that he responds to their direction well/consistently.This fella will truly blossom under the dedicated care of someone willing to put the effort and energy into his continued training!
