This is a very very rare mouthpiece made by Mr. Dobie in Grove city, Pennsylvania. It is in remarkably nice condition and it has a extremely large inside diameter and the sound that produces in a trumpet is almost flugelhorn like if you’re looking for one to add to your rare mouth collection here it is it’s pretty cool for sure. It does, and has been manufactured so that you do get a little back pressure which has a good match for its large diameter and its medium to deep bowl if you have larger lips or you enjoy playing on a larger Vincent Bach size 1 to 2 then I think you will really enjoy this. As stated it has a very flugelhorn type field and the sound that it produces I believe that it is stamped with a number one although it could be a seven I’m not sure, but I believe it was supposed to be a number one and be the first on the block to have one of these, and probably the only one you see.
