Here is the story. I required a bike rack to obtain a bike to our kid in Chicago on a 2012 Focus Hatchback - for as low-cost as possible. I discovered this standard Thule (no design # anywhere) on C/L and bought it, thinking that it was missing the 'cradles' for the bike. When taking a look at bike buy replacement parts, I was informed that this was an 'old design' where you simply bungeed the bikes to the provider. That is what I did. I mounted the rack, then strapped the bike down with bungee cords and a little string (probably WAY more than it needed), and the bike made it 400 miles without the slightest activity. Now, I do not require it, and I am simply flipping it. This is a very fundamental rack, however it worked like a beauty. todd happy do not text
