FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: Primary responsibility of processing payroll and maintaining related records in addition performing and supporting in all phases of human resources activities by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Payroll Prepare and process payroll information by compiling, calculating, and inputting weekly payroll data Enters data into computer files. Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, 401K, and other benefit deductions for each employee to update master payroll records. Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions as required. Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages. Prepares and issues paychecks as needed. Human Resource Functions Records and updates employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason. Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities. Tracks and keeps records of vacation accrual. Oversees annual benefit renewals, benefit rollouts, and open enrollment process. Handles onboarding of all new hires and insures all necessary new-hire paperwork is completed and received. Responsible for Workers Comp administration and maintaining records of work-related accidents and injuries. Serves as a go-to person for employees regarding HR matters Qualifications Minimum one-year payroll / HR department experience Ability to process basic functions and formulas in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with payroll software (UKG formerly UltiPro) is a plus Knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and experience handling sensitive and confidential information. Ability to work in a team manufacturing environment. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
