Reporting to the Chief Human Resources and Facilities Officer, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for oversight of day to day functions of the HR office including employee relations, HR administration, compliance and maintaining and improving HR systems. DUTIES Ensures smooth functioning of Human Resources' administrative functions including overseeing the HR Assistant and HR Generalist. Oversees compliance with federal, state and local laws including FLSA, FMLA, salary transparency, and E-verity, etc. Researches changes to laws and regulations and recommends changes to policies and procedures. Handles employee relations issues across the organization with consistency and respect. Ensures the systems are in place for efficient office functions including filing and tracking of documents/training. Ensures accurate data entry into HRIS and that filing is up to date and accurate. Manages orientation, exit interviews and utilizes data to inform changes to these processes to support a welcoming and supportive environment. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures and develops and maintains the employee handbook. Oversees employee activities and events including lunches, all staff meetings, etc. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Degree or equivalent and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources. 3 years of supervisory experience preferably managing HR functions with a multi-state employer. PHR strongly desired. Excellent interpersonal skills that support a collaborative employee-centered environment. Strong attention to detail, and process improvement skills. Leadership skills that demonstrate the presence of critical thinking skills, an intuitive coaching style and a commitment to professional growth, both personally and for colleagues. A deep appreciation and understanding of how a diverse workforce contributes to the vitality and strength of an organization, and how HR can contribute to creating and sustaining a diverse workforce. Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred. Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to move multiple priority items forward successfully. Exceptional time management and quality control skills that ensure accurate and timely delivery of work products. Effective and strong communication skills demonstrated both orally and in writing. A high-level of confidentiality required and matched with a deep respect for and commitment to protecting sensitive information. A professional commitment to working toward and upholding quality standards for one's self, the HR team and LIRS. Strong alignment with and support of LIRS's core values.
