POSITION SUMMARY: The Government Grants Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grant's management process from pre-award to post-award, including proposal preparation, grant negotiation, compliance monitoring, and closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government grants regulations and experience managing multiple grants simultaneously. The Government Grants Coordinator will also have duties and responsibilities within our New American Welcome Centers, providing support with implementation and program execution at branches. This position is based in Downtown Los Angeles. QUALIFICATIONS AGE: 18 years of age or older EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public administration, non-profit management, or business administration. RELATED EXPERIENCE : At least 5 years of experience in grants management, with a focus on government grants. Excellent Customer Service Skills and attention to detail. SPECIALIZED SKILLS : Strong understanding of government grants regulations and policies. Experience managing multiple grants simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Strong desire to learn basic immigration law. Passion for working with the community. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Understanding and knowledge of key database and fundraising management system (Razors Edge) LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS : CPR, First Aid (must attain within 90 days of hire), take 40-hour training of COIL (Comprehensive Overview of Immigration Law) and Pass with a 65% or higher and then work on DOJ Accreditation. WORK ENVIRONMENT /MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk, using a computer and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for occasional movement of boxes and other materials. Ability to attend off-site meetings as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and maintain a deep understanding of government grants regulations and policies. Lead proposal preparation and submission efforts, working with key stakeholders to ensure that proposals are complete and compliant with all regulations. Negotiate grant awards, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable to the organization. Develop and implement grant management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and grant requirements. Oversee grant budget development and management, ensuring that grant funds are used in accordance with grant requirements. Conduct ongoing monitoring of grant activities to ensure compliance with grant requirements and regulations. Prepare grant reports and provide regular updates to senior management on grant performance and compliance. Manage grant closeout process, including final financial reporting and property management. Assist with implementation of NAWC, including but not limited to program organization, filing, data record keeping, attending clinics/workshops, client follow-up, appointment reminders, etc. Support/lead database management for government grants, donations and record keeping as needed. All other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.
