Health Supervisor (Summer Position Only)

POSITION SUMMARY: To oversee the health and safety of the camp population in a manner consistent with State of Michigan Licensing Rules, GSUSA Guidelines, and GSSEM safety activity checkpoints. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age with current license as a physician, physician's assistant, RN, LPN, EMT, paramedic, OR hold American Red Cross certification in both "Responding to Emergencies" AND "CPR for the Professional Rescuer." Valid driver's license required. Experience working with children preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of child development stages and related needs desired as well as familiarity with healthy lifestyles. Good judgement in anticipating and preventing accidents. Be able to act calmly, quickly, and give and/or follow directions during an emergency. Knowledge of safety practices as applicable. Must be ready and able to communicate well with girls and staff and be flexible about programming options. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Become a registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA. Hold the minimum of current license as a physician, physician's assistant, RN, LPN, EMT, paramedic, OR hold American Red Cross certification in both "Responding to Emergencies" AND "CPR for the Professional Rescuer." Salary: $140/day
