The medical records clerk is an essential member of the healthcare team. The medical records clerk works directly with each department within the organization to establish a smooth and successful transmission of patient documents, file maintenance, ROI authorizations and other essential clerical duties.Minimum Qualifications:• High school graduate or obtained GED; college coursework or significant medical records training preferred• One year experience in medical records preferred• Excellent Customer Service Skills with patients and coworkers• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and effectively uphold the policy regarding release of information and patient confidentiality• Assure patient confidentiality and adherence to release of information and other related clinic policies.• Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.** Note this position is 95 percent remote with a requirement to attend in person monthly meetings****All KTCH employees must be up-to-date on COVID vaccinations**
