Position Summary Come work with our energetic and diverting crew at The Beer Hunter ! We are looking for a bright and dynamic host/hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. As host, you would be responsible for providing sanitized menus, accurate wait times and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas, all with a professional, pleasant and welcoming manner . For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive, till their departure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Interacting with guests arriving and departing, ensuring a positive dining experience Taking guest information and quoting wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available Providing guests with menus, answering any initial questions, and informing them of special menu items Answering phone calls and questions concerning the menu and restaurant Observing tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables Treating guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction Cleaning, organizing, and stocking menus at host area Running the floor plan board Filling to go orders, if applicable Maintaining restrooms throughout shift Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Must be 18 years old or older Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person with management, servers, team members and guests) Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on Company's procedures Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Knowledge of workplace safety procedures Understanding of restaurant etiquette Familiarity with health and safety regulations Availability to work in shifts as needed Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
